Swale Mediation Service is an independent registered charity set up to provide a community service for the Borough of Swale to help reduce anti-social behaviour and resolve disputes between neighbours.
This confidential and impartial service is offered free of charge to residents of Swale and is provided by a team of staff and volunteer mediators. Volunteers are recruited and trained in basic community mediation skills. All staff and volunteer mediators have enhanced Criminal Records Bureau and reference checks carried out.
There is a separate service for Young People aged 11 to 19 years and their families who are finding it difficult to get along, often having disagreements or unable to communicate. This uses a mediation approach to help improve or resolve the situation.
People may enquire themselves or be referred - with their agreement - through organisations such as the Borough Council, Housing Associations, the Police, Schools and Social Services. We work in partnership with other agencies whilst maintaining the confidential boundaries of mediation.
If you would like to send an enquiry, you may "Contact Us" on the menu above.
Alternatively you may e-mail or telephone us (please leave a message if we are not available to take your call as we may be on another call or meeting with clients).
